We've been using Lemi Shine for about two years. We bought nice glasses and dinnerware before retiring only to find that the water in our new location was filled with lime and left a coating on our glasses. We use it about twice a month with the regular dishwasher detergent, Lemi Shine, and the rinse aid. No more dull glasses.
And if you haven't tried Invisible Glass on your windows...oh wow! It's at WalMart and this is a good time of year to try it out. Not trying to hijack the thread.

I have some but forget to use it often. Yes, detergents have changed. I just choose the pots and pans option now to get them clean! irritating to have to do that.

I used it several times a few years ago as I too, had very cloudy dishes. It worked great at first but then the cloudiness came back and the Lemi-shine just wasn't cutting it. I finally gave up and now just wash my dishes by hand.

I find it at WalMart in the dish washing section near the washer
    tablets/rinse agents.

Since we have been using it I have NOT had any cloudiness on
my dishes. Not just my glassware but I also have clear blue dishes
(they match my blue Pyrex bake ware).

I have a canister under my sink where I keep my dishwasher tablets
and I keep the container of Lemi Shine WITH my tablets so that I can
make sure to grab it when I get a tablet out.

I have gotten used to grabbing the LS, but there are times when my
hubs (and those time are VERY rare) will load the dishwasher, by keeping
the two items together it will remind him to use the LS also.

Wow! When I clicked on your Lemi Shine button, it not only told me where I can buy it in my area - it produced a map!

I will have to look for this. Our water is really hard here. I not only are my glasses cloudy but my utensils aren't as shiny as they should be either. They are only about 1 1/2 years old and they are dull looking. They are a pretty expensive pattern of Gorham stainless. I got all of it at a major clearance price with an extra discount. Hope it helps.

I love this product -- it made a huge difference in removing hard water film -- BUT be careful. It can also remove decals, paint, decoration, etc. I bought a new quart Pyrex measuring cup and the first time I washed it all the markings came off! Not a lot of use now. There is a warning on the product label that I didn't read until after the markings came off the measuring cup. It also greatly faded decals from several coffee mugs. I now use a small amount in my dishwasher every few loads. I only use more if the hardwater starts to build up again. And I never put my china in or other items that are delicately decorated.

Our DIL interupted a family gathering by announcing she found a miracle. She proceeds to inform us our lives will be forever changed. She holds up a crystal clear glass. She tells us the miracle is contained in that glass. Intrigued, but skeptical, we ask for proof. She holds up a cloudy glass. Then she shows us a container of Lemi Shine. The lightbulbs go off around the room. We have all had crystal clear glasses and sparkling clean dishes and silver ever since.
