    Default First major quilt

I just finished piecing my first major quilt project. It is called "Chestnut and Vine" by Marcus Brothers. It was a BOM. I love the colors! Now to figure out how to quilt it. It has some hand appliqué, so I'm not quite sure what to do. Any suggestions would be appreciated .

First major quilt?!! Yikes! That is really something! You did a wonderful job! I have no clue as to how to quilt it? That always seems to be the challenge.

Really can't help with quilting ideas, just wanted to tell you how pretty your quilt is love the color, it has a lot going on but it all blends and plays so well together.

That is a gorgeous quilt...and to be your first....you have a great deal of talent !!!!
My only thought about the quilting would be to keep it simple....let this beautiful piecing and applique do the "talking". A batting that allows for 8-10 inches between quilt lines would give you the most flexibility.
Good luck - and congratulations !!
