    weasier22, your posting has made me well up with tears----such dear things you have to remember your dad. He must have loved your mother so much to make these beautiful things for her, and to make them with such careful craftsmanship. They would be happy knowing how you treasure them and how you are sharing their beauty with others.

    What a treasure! Your dad was very talented. Mine was too and I have hung on to as many of his hand made items as I could. He was a true craftsman. He made my mother a beautiful jewelry box and a mantle clock. It makes me think of them both every time I look at them.
