    Default Florida panhandle quilt shops

Hello! Would the wonderful people here please share information about quilt shops in the panhandle area. Basically from Pensacola to Panama City. I know of one in Panama City, but I'm sure there has to be more. Many Thanks in advance for your help.

I have not been to any quilt shops in the panhandle of Florida but if you google Florida quilt shops there are several sites that list quilt shops in Florida either by name of the city or county. I travel quite a bit and always seek out quilt shops this way. Sometimes the information isn't current but a quick phone call to the shop will clarify things. If you were coming down further into Florida I have a couple that are favorites.

    Lynn’s Sewing Center
    745 North Beal Parkwy
    Fort Walton Bch FL 32547
    850-864-4555

Definitely pays to call ahead. I've trekked to more than one based on an address that has closed. I'm looking forward to visiting Quilting by the Bay in August when we are down to visit family.

    Cheers, K

Margie's is in Crestview, out of the way and on a private road...really worth the trouble! Wonderful staff, awesome fabrics, lots of notions, discount in your birthday month, discount for guild membership, offers classes, sells.services Berninas.
Ft. Walton has 2 shops, a Viking dealer (913 Beal Parkway) and Lynn's, a Bernina dealer just down the street. They both have lots of wonderful fabrics, classes, service, etc.

    A & E Pharmacy
    923 North New Warrington Road
    Pensacola, FL 32506

I know it sounds like a drug store but it's better than many LQS. It's my local shop, I love it! Don't miss it! Just go in, the fabrics are on the left side of the store, keep going back.

There is also one in Gautier, MS (since you're on the way) It is called Block Therapy, but I have never been there. You will pass by a Hancock's Fabrics in Daphne, AL, it's the first exit off I 10 after Mobile Bay. About like JoAnn's.

I'll second Quilting by the Bay in Panama City, love it there too.

YES! A & E! I forgot, one of my favorites...miles and miles of wonderful fabrics, sales based on older stock dates, discounts for guild members!

Then there's Fabric by the Pound, in Summerdale, AL, just north of Foley, AL on SR 59.
    102 State Hwy 59 N, Summerdale, AL, phone 251-989-6505

Don't know if this one still exists. It's not too far north of Pensacola on US 29.
