    LOL... Love Kalama's comment about following the sun! I had read that tip on another website, so I will give that a try... unfortunately it looks like we are getting rain all weekend, so it won't happen anytime soon. I took her out of the case for now to try and get that "lovely antique scent" to dissipate from the machine, at least. I filled up the case with dryer sheets and newspaper because I had read about doing that also. I actually plan to keep the machine out on my sewing table and will be making a cover for her, so the case would just be used for transport if necessary. Thanks for the info on the oil catcher, I will check that out too.

    Place a boxed bar of Zest soap in the case when storing it, with only one end of the soap box open. It will really help with the smell.

    I love my little "Lynn" and use her all the time for piecing. And her case doesn't smell at all.

    She is a beauty, enjoy her. I still want a white one like mom had that I sewed a lot with, maybe someday.
