Golden threads quilting paper

I found a yellow tracing paper on the roll just by chance at an art store. I was pretty cheap so I thought I would try that.Haven't yet, I have moved twice in the last year. I saw some Golden Threads paper in a quilt store and this stuff looked an awful lot like it.

I've been using cheap tissue paper also. It usually comes in 20x30" sheets. that's 10" squares and you also get a lot with about 30 sheets in a package for a couple of bucks. You can see right through it.
I use regular old white tissue paper from the Dollar Stores to mark my patterns on...very light weight and tears away easily. Sometime I have to get the tweezers out for teeny tiny pieces that get stuck under the thread, but not that often. A lady from our local Hancock's Fabric Store told me about this......bless her!!

lfletcher, I bought the GT paper a while back to use just as you do, I didn't even know people actually sewed it to the quilt lol, learn something new here everyday. Of course it's going to be a long time till I get to use it but I have it when the time comes
