and you got onions and tomatoes too!
one yard sale here and looks like all cloths.
saw on the board somewhere, a woman buys cloths for the fabric
and makes cute doll cloths from it for cheapo prices. great idea!.
off to work on the Asian quilt again.

Pat you did good at the yard sales again. The hankerchifs are pretty. Tomatoes and onions look good. I'm in for 1 pin cush and 1 needlebk. Purple is my favorite color too. Lynnie lucky you to have breakfast with your son. Looks like lots of newbies. Yeah!

I didn't get the veggies at a yard sale but at a serve yourself road stand. They had a sign up about someone stealing all their veggies so please be honest. I really needed the bookcase to use for fabric that I don't put in bins and that was $5. Good thing there weren't too many yard sales as it was so humid. And it's going to be hotter in the next few days and might get up to 90. I can't believe that next weekend is Labor Day Weekend. Where did the summer go? Everyone is complaining here that we had no summer. There is another girl missing in the National Park. When I went through there yesterday I saw all kinds of ambulances and police cars with a trailer with rubber boats on them. They were all near the river and I thought someone had a water accident but no they were looking for a girl that has been missing since Tuesday. Today when I went through there a helicopter was circling around. There have already been 2 girls that were killed and found in the National Park I hope this one will be found ok. That is why I don't date here. The men are all crazy.

Wow, Pat, that is scary about the girls. I hope they find her and she is safe.

We've been having some crazy weather lately, haven't we? The temps haven't changed too much here in FL but we have been having some terrible thunder storms. I don't remember having thunder so loud and hard that it actually shook the mobile and I could feel it under my feet. Now it's coming up on the peak of the hurricane season. This is the time when it gets more active. I just hope that we don't get any anytime soon.

Karen, What was your temp for today, we had a high of 101 according to tonight's news but our thermometer said
    110... depends where you are...

I'm going to sign up for 1 pin cushion tonight... Had a weird night last night, got woke up at 2:30 by ants biting my arm that was on the sheet... We had rain yesterday and it was hot and John sprayed by the front door for ants that were there and guess they moved to the corner of the house and came in where it was cooler... Pulled the sheets and everything off the bed put out ant traps and tried to calm down enough to go back to sleep... Finally laid down on the couch at 4 AM and slept till 5:30... Washed everything.. What a day.. My hubby vacuumed the room and sprayed the baseboards and floors and outside around the house... . Tired of bugs...

Rosemary, our high was 95. It seems like a lot of people are having higher temps than we are.
I don't like bugs either. The problem we have are those little ghost ants or some people call them sugar ants. They are so tiny you can hardly see them. Every once in awhile a palmetto bug will get in the house but they don't last long with my 2 cats. ^..^

I agree with having so many insects this year. In the spring I had tons of bees and moths. Amazing amounts of them! I guess the conditions were just right for the hatching, or something.

It is a terrible shame about the girls, just makes you want to cry.

Klaws, I guess I'm in for this swap. It's been over a year since I've done a needlecase or pincushion one...can I tell you what I will make before the deadline? I sent the information ( minus what I want to make) but want to look for some cute patterns first?
