I love my Slide-Locs. I also use them to keep my June Taylor strip cutters from shifting - just lay the Slide-Loc beside each slot before I cut and there's no squiggle.

I love my Slidelock. I just need to use it more often.

Did you order the lighted edge or the Artic Ice (kind of clear looking ones)?

The longer one was the only one that you could get with the lighted edge when I ordered mine. I have both sizes and really don't think the lighted edge is worth the extra money. Of course it's not actually lighted - just the way the edge is cut.

Someone in our guild recently introduced us to using the shelf liner under the ruler and I LOVE it! I have found that the cheaper liner is best because it is thinner and doesn't produce "bulk" under the ruler, which will make it rock slightly. The one I like is white and it really does look cheap, but works the best. It really has made a difference in my cutting.

Love the Sidelock. I have both sizes in the neon and the ruler too.

I have tried EVERY tip to avoid the slip and slide when cutting: sandpaper dots, silicon dots, see thru backing on the ruler, temporary spray glue, etc. The Slidelock is a miracle. I shelled out for both sizes and have never cut fabric so easily and accurately!! Love them. I got the yellow rather than clear and am VERY happy with both.

I have both sizes and it's just okay imo. I should have bought just one to try it first because to me, it's not really worth the $$. But I bought them so I use them. They're no worse than my regular rulers and only a little bit better.

I have also found that laying my whole forearm on the ruler rather than just one hand helps keep the fabric from moving as much.
