    Thank you all for the encouraging compliments. The cut square s are 4.5"

    I've laid out 30 of the 36 nine patch blocks planned to complete this quilt. Cut up an inexpensive plastic table cloth that has felt like backing on it into 12 inch squares. Using these squares as mini design walls to audition each nine patch and I'm able to move these around to plan the full layout. Slowly seeing light at the end of the tunnel.

    This is not a duplicate post I do want to share detail pics.
    - Quilt is composed of 36 nine patch blocks.
    - I pieced the quilt in components of 4 nine patch blocks. Result: 9 components of 4 nine patch blocks
