    Very cute idea indeed. Can also use an old larger picture frame . Have someone cut a piece of board to fit and mount inside the frame and put the nails in for you if your not handy with mens tools. I'd hunt around at 2nd hand stores for one. Presently all my spools are in a box but this is definitely worth looking into. I just copied the instructions off and handed it to my son lol. thx for sharing this Tartan.

    If you are thinking about making one, don't skimp on the size of the nails. Leave room to add bobbin on top!!
