What a great swap you got Pat. Lots of nice needlework. Lynnie it looks like the backs to post earrings on the pins. Am I right Pat? That is a great idea. I have a lot of those and I always swap out for the metal backs as they stay on better.

Lynnie, those pin stops are rubber earring backs that come in a large pack from WM. I always worry about someone getting pricked by them! I like to think that these help.

Pat, I am so happy that you liked your swap! My technique is sometimes lacking but I try to put enough love into each thing that I make that it makes up for my lack of expertise! lol I loved putting it all together for you.

Guess what I came home to today? BABY GOATS!!! Triplet GIRLS! Our future milking herd!

Tomorrow is my 20th wedding anniversary and I asked my DH to let me pick out trees and shrubs to green up our little hardscrabble acreage. So, we were out all day picking out trees/shrubs and when we came home there they were! Mama (Butterscotch) did such a wonderful job. She is such a good Mama. Here she is giving our dog the evil eye:

Unbelievably, one of our cats got into the spirit of the occasion and gave birth to two little female kittens this morning, too! Such an affirmation of life today. Goat kids, kittens, my sweet children all conspiring to give us a wonderful anniversary tomorrow. I'm married to my best friend. Sigh. A totally wonderful day.

AND, Pat received her swap and LIKED it!!!!! Hooray!!!!

I finally made it to the Post Office yesterday and found I had received an incredible package from ljdugas31. I received a beautiful pincushion with awesome ribbon embroidery (sure wish I could do that). And the pins in the beautiful needle case -- WOW. It is all too lovely to use, so I keep where I can just admire it while stitching. I know you would all like to see them; however, my computer and Windows 8.1 are in cahoots and will not permit me to post photos. I have asked LJ to post photos for me, if she has them.

P.S. I forgot to mention the buttons she sent me -- you can never have too many buttons. There were the cutest cat buttons and some small wooden buttons that will be perfect for a wall hanging I have planned for later.

    Patches,

What a wonderful confirmation that Spring has arrived. I love your goats and what can I say, kittens too!

My Siamese, Solace, has been gone several years and I miss him so.
