I have a Pfaff 7530. I used it early one morning, then went back later to use it again. When I turned it on, the screen was blank. I called Pfaff repairman and he said it was the circuit board. I did have it replaced, not cheap to do. I truly love this machine. He also told me, whatever you do, do not get rid of your machine. He also replaced the storage box on the machine, and gave me a new bobbin case. I had replaced the bobbin case, and it didn't have the little thingy that lights up when bobbin is running low. I have never replaced the batteries. Also, make sure you a circuit protector, or unplug when not using.

Did you know there is a dial under the screen? About 3 3/4" down on the left. Its purpose is to lighten or darken the screen.

Keep your Pfaff 7570. It is worth repairing, only by a repairman familiar with Pfaff. I have a 7570, it the workhorse of machines. I would get another 7570 in a skinny minute. I will be happy to give you name of the Pfaff dealer I use.

paoberole, would you advise me as to what brand of batteries you used in your 7570. Are they special ones or regular batteries, I only buy Duracell. My reminder comes on when I turn the machine on. Want to make sure I use the right batteries before I open the case to change them.

MY Pfaff 7530 screen went blank, no motion on any function, the only thing that happened was the light went on. I took it to the shop that I purchased it from in 2001. They said it was the mother board and there were no new boards being made. They'd put in a used or rebuilt one, with no guarantee it would not happen again soon. It would cost $250 for them to just look at the machine. I took my machine home and I may burn some incense over it. Maybe that will help. Does anyone have any helpful suggestions?

My repairman told me that when the mother board goes out, there are no replacements, maybe they can salvage one from another machine. That is what he told me, so I am prepared for when mine goes to the great beyond. Mine is having problems letting me know when the bobbin is getting low. Did you know that the light for the screen is adjustable? the dial is just below the green, pink buttons on the left. You can feel it with your finger.
