    Those jewel tones really sparkle against the black. It's lovely. Wish I could work with dark colors, but my eyes just don't allow that anymore.

    Sewn3w, I had a real struggle working with the black too especially hand sewing the binding down on the back. On most of the minis I have made I just folded the backing to the front and stitched it down. This pattern called for a regular 2 1/4 strip for the binding.
