Default How to sell your stash

Does anyone know of places online to sell a stash of fabric? I would appreciate any suggestions.

Participate on this board more and you will eventually get to the status where you can list items for sale here. Otherwise your best bets are Craigs list or E-Bay.

I have had good success selling my fabric to members of the guild when I lived in Austin, TX (I was not a member but was allowed to advertise in their newsletter) and again in Virginia when I returned home, again to members of the guild I was a member of. Sold for $3 a yard for regular quilt shop prints and $4 for batiks. I sold $1200 and $1300 worth! And have enough stash to do it again in a few months in my new place after I join the guild there.

There are 2 Facebook sites that I know of. One is called "Quilters Classifieds" the other is "Fabric Destashing for people who aren't cray cray". In both cases you have to ask to join but that's it. The ads are free and fabric seems to move. You will probably want to use paypal and there is a small fee associated with that.

If you're close enough to a large city, Craigslist will get you quick, local results. I've often heard of people selling their fabric on Craigslist and expecting to sell it a little at a time, and then someone comes along and buys it all.

Also, the Yahoo group Sew It's for Sale is a popular place to sell sewing-related items online. My wife once bought a buttonholer for Father's Day for me on there.
