it depends on the class. how often do you re-read a quilting book? Craftsy classes on sale are equivalent to purchasing a quilt book. One other very nice thing about Craftsy is you can post questions and the instructor responds.

Downloading -I have an iPad and using the Craftsy app I see an arrow on each class that allows me to save one or more lesson from a class on my iPad and watch where I have no internet connection.

I dont know know about doing this on a computer.

I only recently purchased a couple of 50% off classes. Have some of the Freebies too. Mostly Quilting. BUT the one on Knife Skills is pretty useful. I'm good with knives anyway but I learned some new tricks.

I am so happy I saw this thread, I had some squares to rotary cut this a.m. So I watched my Machine Quilting class by Wendy Bulter Burns, and that made the cutting much more enjoyable. I now have all of my squares cut for my Giant Swoon Quilt -- another thread here on the boards.

I guess they aren't distracted by all the students with different levels of comprehending. If you haven't tried it Anita Grossman Solomon's class is 50% now. And you get her book free which more then pays for the class.
I have 11 but I never have the time to do anything with them. How do I download them?

I have 88... like others have said, my classes encompass a lot of different crafts/cooking, etc. I also sign up for any and every class that's free. You never know when you're going to learn something interesting! I even have a free drawing class in there even though I can't draw a stick figure...LOL.

How to download your craftsy classes: on your main page you will see a tab on the bottom right that says 'Off Line'. Click it and you will see all your classes. The classes are broken up into segments. You just click on one of the segments (or however many you want to do at one time) and it starts downloading that segment to your hard drive.

It's awesome for those of us with satellite. The last time we flew I brought my iPad with all my downloaded classes and watched them. It was so nice and the time flew by. Haha!

I only have 16 active classes. I have been very pleased with the quality and attention to quality with each class. Anyone that has not joined Craftsy yet, try one of the free or mini classes. When I retire, I plan to register for additional classes.

I have taken 47 classes through Craftsy. Quilting, foods, sewing clothing. I just love the way they are taught and enjoy watching them on my own time. I managed to get most of my classes when on sale so I can afford to buy more classes. It feeds on itself and I am addicted! Thank goodness for Craftsy!
