What about polka dot kites?
Polka dot circles?
Polka dot houses?

I also liked this quilt from someone on the QB and have saved it for awhile. Would look cute in polka dots. And easy too.

I go on Pinterest to get ideas too, often there are tutorials on some of them it depends on if you go traditional or modern. I saw a pretty one done in a chevron design but my fav is just a fading nine patch.

I just downloaded "Fun Time Blankies Baby Quilts" from Annie's Attic. 5 adorable quilts! Can't wait to get started.

This one is cute --- all pinwheels made with polka dots, and alternating with scrappy blocks. https://www.etsy.com/listing/2198555...uery=gellybean patches&ref=sr_gallery_1

Look at about.com, lots of baby quilt patterns there. I am going to make one with pinwheels for our Great Granddaughter due in Oct. Mother wants purples and I just happen to have some.

In general what is your favorite pattern to make? Did you enjoy making it for the ease or the challenge. Do you want a girly-girl quilt more more neutral? I have a couple of favorite girls quilts.
Flowers, I started with the backing and pulled colors from there.

It really depends on your imagine when you think - baby- girl - little girl - These are the types of things I see. Good Luck!

A friend and I, both of us have a huge polka dot collection, are making Completely Dotty Pattern – Piece O' Cake. You can see it here.

If you like Chevrons, Lima Sews has a free toddler size (40 X 48 in) pattern.
I just posted two pics using this pattern yesterday, Modern and a Vintage looking.
Ironically my original plan was to do polka dots for the rows on the modern version.
