    I would SITD the design and border. Depending on your skills, you could crosshatch behind the wheel. I would then work something nautical in the borders like rope or try different designs. A good place to get ideas might be Angela Walters site as she does quilting in big areas.

    You can find catalogs on line from stencil distributors. They will have nautical designs if that is what you want as well as other designs which will give you some ideas.

    What I meant is I had put it in the main board also. NOT Put it in the main board as a demand. No rudeness intended

    I think it would look really nice with the blue design in Trapunto with a microstiple (maybe with an ocean wave curve as the design) in the white space. Or you could just go with long wavy lines. No matter what it's a beautiful quilt & will look stunning when completed.

    Join www.mqresource.com....you can see a LOT there for free, or join up and be able to ask for help. The site is for DSM AND longarm quilters.
