Default Grandmothers Flower Garden is done

I just finished this quilt after four years. I was trying to use up my 30's fabrics from a long time ago and in the process I fell in love with 30's fabrics all over again. I will always remember piecing this quilt during and ice storm about two years ago. What else do you do with no electricity or heat for four days in Michigan except hand piece by a fireplace with a head lamp? It was quilted by my local quilt shop.

Your LQS couldn't have chosen a more perfect panto for this. I love the rick-rack flange inside the binding.

Oh wow! That is gorgeous! I love the binding too! Actually, I love everything about this quilt, and I'm not normally a fan of this pattern. You have definitely inspired me!

Beautiful quilt! And I love the memory you have of putting it together. That gives the quilt a story, always a nice thing to know about a quilt!
