Default The ultimate 66, 99, 15k and 201 refurbishing manual

    Folks
This is probably old news, but fresh questions about Singer maintenance issues - oil reservoir felt, bobbin issues, all the usual suspects - reminded me of this manual. New owners or members may want to take a look at it.
The organization "Tools for self reliance" collect surplus tools, I think mainly in the UK, refurbish them and send them to needing communities in Africa. They have made this manual for their sewing machine refurbishers so they get it right. I think it's absolutely stunning, clearly the best I've seen. It does not cover electrics. It's actually a whole book, split up in downloadable PDF chapters. Hope the link works.

Oops. Now it came back to me where I probably picked this up in the first place. Sorry about that, manicmike.

I have posted the link to TFSR many times since someone gave it to me several years ago. But it's always good to repost it occasionally. There are always people new to vintage sewing machines than can benefit from the info it contains.

I don't think it has been posted here in a while. Very good manual. There is also good info in the sticky about sewing machine resources.

I agree, absolutely the best. I wrote to them to see if they would consider posting a manual on electric parts, but received no response. It was quite a while ago.

Where is "the sticky"? I can't seem to find it.
