Lovely mug rugs, I love the grey fabric in the one from dotcomdtcm. Momoftana has now received my swap to her so I will post the pics of what I sent her. The third picture is how I wrapped it, with a FSL Poinsettia tag. I went with a Poinsettia theme and embroidered the poinsettia on the mug rug and then made an organza poinsettia and also a poinsettia candy cane holder.

Rosemary & Dotty -- those mug rugs are beautiful! And the ornaments ... & magazines, too! You're both on the same wavelength, which is pretty remarkable. Love those swap packages, ladies!

BettyJ -- your package to momoftana is beautiful! Oh, my ... the poinsettias are too lovely for words, & the mug rug is as well. As an aside, what is FSL? Fabric something, I think?

FSL stands for free standing lace. The lace is an embroidery design embroidered on wash way stabilizer on an embroidery machine. The stabilizer is then washed away and hence...Free standing. The embroidery designs are especially digitised to allow the stitches to stay inter connected when the stabilizer is washed away. I hope this explains it well enough.

Thanks, Betty. I understand perfectly! I would love to do that ... maybe someday.

Wow, the lovely swap packages are really starting to roll in! Everything is so Christmassy and beautiful!

I just received mine from SMR-- She sent a great package of gifts! The beautiful mug rug is actually big enough to use as a a table mat. And she also sent two big Christmas hot pads with hangers. Don't miss the adorable little stocking full of tea in the middle of the photo, too. And she sent some yummy coffee. As if that wasn't enough great stuff, she also made a Christmas hand towel with hanger to button onto the oven door. All of it is so beautiful, Susan. I will enjoy it all through the Christmas season! Many, many thanks! What a fabulous partner you are....
