    A beautiful quilt for sure. I am sure you mom will be touched by your expressive appreciation for a gift she gave you when you were 16. I don't know if the machine is beyond reasonable repair or it you are moving on to greater things but it was a stepping stone. Maybe the retiring machine can continue to be a back-up for the future. I love to piece on my older machines and FMQ on my newer machines.

    It's beautiful, but I doubt I'd get rid of the machine. Sometimes older is better or more dependable. Or easier because we are so very familiar with the machine.
