Plenty of sources here! And I'm sure the fine people here will have many suggestions. Good luck!

I did an online class with Nancy Chong. The link feline fanatic put in her post is to Nancy's website. Here's a picture of the block that Nancy taught online. Unfortunately, the website (Quilt University) where Nancy taught Hawaiian quilting no longer exists.

Look at Google Images and see if there is anything that appeals to you. Click the photo and it will take you to the location of the image.

Nancy Chong now teaches through Academy of Quilting.com. She also has DVD's that you can purchase. I have the 2 Fabric Applique Quilts DVD and learned a lot from it. The advantage is I can watch it whenever I want.

    Here are a few sites: http://poakalani.net, http://www.quilting101.com/patterns/...quilt-patterns, http://www.quilthawaiian.com/

    free patterns: http://www.quiltshawaii.com/freepattern.html,

Craftsy had a class a few years ago: http://www.craftsy.com/blog/2013/05/hawaiian-quilts/

Still did not find one I was looking for. A lady named Barbara that has/had a shop in Hawaii, and she was on the Fabshophop list for years. Did not see her last time I hopped.

I was fortunate to make the trip to Oahu a few years ago. Purchased several yards of fabric, and the book THE PILLOWS TO PATCH QUILT COLLECTION...THE HAWAIIAN WAY by Elizabeth Root. It is nice because it not only gives you the large pattern, but also the mini's to match. The book is very descriptive and easy to follow.

Hi. I've been Hawaiian Quilting for about a year. I started with getting online searching: Hawaiian quilting. From that I found a GREAT site. Pacific Rim Company. This company offers Nancy Chong's DVD on how to do hawaiian quilting plus has a pattern to follow along with her as she teaches from start to finish. I LOVE the different patterns!!! You'll enjoy & it is so relaxing.

Look for pacific rim company. They have wonderful 2 fabric applique patterns. Nancy Chong also has 2 DVDs. The first one has Nancy actually showing you how to hawaiian quilt step by step and the pictures are really nice and easy to see! In that DVD, she has a pattern that you use and she shows you how to do each step as you're working on your project. It's GREAT!
