Your quilt is such an interesting combination of fabrics and textures. It is simply beautiful. I am glad you showed us the back with the quilting on the minkee. It is so smooth looking. A perfect combination of fabric, color and texture.

I really like your quilt and the simple quilting you've done. Was the pattern your design or is there a pattern name/company where I can find this?

I love the look of your quilt. Great use of charm squares. To make the block, it looks like you cut a charm square in half. Next how did you assemble the block? putting a white strip between the 2 cut halves or sewing 2 different fabric halves together and adding the thin white strip between them to join the rows? Thanks for sharing.

Great idea for a quilt. I wander how that would work using scraps.

I saw a picture and then came up with my own variation. I started with 5" squares of all the batiks and 1" x 5" strips of the light grey. Cut each 5" in half and inserted a grey strip between them. So you end up with 5" unfinished blocks, (4 1/2" finished). Assembled those into rows. Because I offset the rows from each other, on every other row I had to add an extra batik section at each end. Those pieces were cut 5" x 2 3/4"

Mine was 13 rows with 11 squares in the "odd" rows and 10 squares plus 2 special end pieces in the "even" rows.
so it came out somewhere around 49"x59"
