MY New Ironing Table (Thanks auntjo!)
So auntjo posted her new ironing table which is a workbench from Harbor Freight. I got one and put it together all by my lonesome (I don't have a husband, handy or otherwise.) It took 3 days as I knew enough to stop when I felt like throwing things, but it was worth it. (It is actually easy to put together, just a LOT of parts, and it's heavy, but I was able to lift it.)
I was going to attach my big board that I had made for my regular ironing board, which would have given me a few more inches in width, but I left it the size it is and am happy with it as I no longer have to squeeze between it and my cutting table to get into my sewing room. I did add 3" rotating, locking wheels to make it more mobile and because I needed the extra height. I topped it with a June Tailor PerfectPress that I've had forever and it fit just right. (I used sticky back Velcro and some small nails to keep the pressing mat from moving around.)
Bonus is the bottom shelf got 2 bags and a basket of "to dos" off the floor.

Excellent job! I too don't have a husband and have to do things myself. I also love my June Tailor PerfectPress. I bought a bunch when they were marked down to almost nothing at JAF almost 2 decades ago.

Very nice! And the wheels are a brilliant idea (and would be a requirement for me). I did see & admire auntjo's also. I just zipped my computer to Harbor Freight to get work bench length & depth & price. Unfortunately, I do not have the space for anything that wide or that deep. Sigh.
