Default Nice tute on hand quilting

This technique is beautiful when done and if I had the patience, I might even be tempted to give it a try.
I hope someone can use this idea.

interesting...cute, colorful piecing design. The handwork looks like she outlined the orange peels with a embroidery stitch - stem stitch ? - then did hand quilting in the spaces between the petals. IMHO, there should be a bit more quilting, like in the petals, borders.....even if it's just straight line..just something to anchor more of that sandwich..just me.

Roberta....it's not that difficult...should not tax your patience level....expand your horizons!

Very nice! Thanks for sharing. I've done a little hand quilting but hadn't thought to leave enough batting backing to make my life simpler when I worked edges lol! Thanks again;0)

the Big Stitch technique is a new one for me also - Started over a year ago and I am addicted to it . When you start you can't seem to put it down - the designs along with the big stitch quilting just makes the quilt come alive. It is so much fun to follow thru and see how the quilt comes together.
