I haven't started my card yet either. My hubs has been on vacation
since Dec.23, and will be returning to work next Monday.

{begs for Monday to hurry up and arrive!!!} YES he is driving me crazy.
It wouldn't be so bad if he would leave me alone, he waits until I am
eyebrow deep into trying to clean and organize my sewing rooms than
decides he needs me to "come look at this" or asks "hey whats for dinner"
Today I finally told him he had his choice of 2 things for dinner, left over
BBQ chicken pizza or left over homemade vegetable beef soup with barley.

He groaned than asked "want to go get us Panda Express?" of course my
reply was heck no I don't to much snow for my liking (we have about 8-10
inches, and I HATE driving in it anyways).

I made an attempt and figured out my pinwheel looks like 2 arrows. That says what a good piecer I am... So I scrapped that. Then I got one done except for the edges and my antique zzer seems to have chewed some of it so I pitched that one. I'm also thinking the beast of a ZZ attachment isn't as nice as just having a machine you can flip a button, knob or a lever and get what you are expecting. But I did have to test the beast out. Back to the drawing board. Maybe my third attempt will be ok.

This is going to be a great month...love the flamingo (our Xmas tree topper used to be a ceramic flamingo. At some point it gave way to our current topper, a plastic KFC Colonel)...and the hat advice is correct! Today my best day is a jeans day...
To continue this great start, here's the card Fraew sent me - it was buried in a stack of mail for a day, found yesterday, and admired ever since. It's for Penguin Awareness Day, Jan. 20. The color is stitched on, all the penguins are outlined in stitching, and Fraew please share with us what you used for the watercolor effects! Stunning.

I like the Hat Day and Penguin Post card. The Flamingo is for National Bird Day. Those flamingos are 3 to 5 feet tall, and fly up to 35 mph.
