    ​I vote #4, enough contrast so the applique shows but not too much pattern to compete with it. Cute inspector!

    I like 1 and 5 ... they both look like murky ponds with ripples, #1 on a sunny day, and #5 on a cloudy day!

    It's an older Magnistitch magnifier. I have one on each machine as my applique foot is metal and has a very small opening (industrial machine).

    I like the neutral, light ones. The storks and reeds show up better and are the focus.

    #3 was the one that first caught my eye. #5 is second. #1 is too bright , #2 and #4 look dull. Just my opinion, and I hope those pretty birds are going to get their beaks soon.
