I know there is a hole in your heart for your sweet Jim. The most comforting thing, is that he is safe in the arms of GOD and you will be with him again one day. Oh my gosh you folks do some beautiful work! I have never done this mystery quilt thing but I am loving the pattern. I was wondering how long Bonnie Hunter keeps her clues on her website. Would it be ridiculous of me to start it Now? Will the pattern be printed not as a mystery? I think I could learn so much by doing her step-by-step instructions but I don’t want to get started and have it disappear from the website.

SherB, Bonnie will probably be putting ORL into a pdf pattern in her online store this coming week, the beginning of February. The clues are still free on her blog, http://quiltville.blogspot.com/p/on-...e-mystery.html, but she will be pulling it soon and putting it up for sale. Even if you can't make it now, now is the time to download and save them if you want. When Bonnie sells her past MQs as pdf patterns, she rewrites them as in a normal pattern form vs with clues. It does not have as detailed instructions as the clues do, either. If you want the MQ for learning new techniques, downloading the clues now will give what you want.

Here's my finished top! I switched the center sashing to aqua but kept the coral sashing around the outside blocks.

    Lovely, ORL's!

I'm part of the turtle brigade and I only did 1/3 of the blocks. Lol! I do have 15 sewn together and I am going to try the on point design with 13 of them. I am on the last clue and have sewn my sashing strips together. I will try to cut the rest of clue 9 yet this evening.

My goal is to have the small top done by Monday evening at the latest. Wish me luck please.

Kathy, that's beautiful! I really like the aqua sashing. It's a great way to introduce more of the blues into the quilt. Wonderful work!.
