    Wow! was my immediate reaction. Love the cubes and animals that you appliqued on the top. They really add to the quilt. It's easy to see why your son wanted it.

    For a not so great picture, the quilt is outstanding! Quilts like this one make me wish I knew how to applique.

    Pattern: MCCalls quilting mag, Feb 1, 2011

    It is titled "Architectural Gem", designed by Susan Guzman. It's made using batiks in 2.5 " strips that I purchased about 2 years ago from Connecting threads.
