And, this is block #26, before and after embellishing. This whole group of 4 are leaves, acorns and a fall look. The next 2 blocks are a reverse applique design with small flowers appliqued on the top. Then there will be some embellishing as well. I'm almost done with #27 and have to do all of #28 before I'm down to that last row. Bear with me. I'll get there.

    Jean,
You are quick at hand sewing. I'm hoping to see your blocks in person. They are beautiful!!
I'm at the tail end of block #6 on the Bouquets for a New Day.

    Thanks, Klarina and sewingitalltogether.

Your block is coming along very nicely, Gail. I'll have to go do a Google search to see the entire quilt. I don't really hand sew that fast. It's been over a month since I posted any blocks and I had one of those done already. I tend to sew on this in spurts. I'm just having a 'lots of sewing' kind of summer this time. Remember, I've been working on this quilt for 5 years and I'm sure there is still at least another year's worth of stitching on it.

I just checked out your quilt. It's so lovely. Looks like you're about half done if you're working on block #6. You'll be done before you know it.

There seems to be only a few of us participating in this thread on applique. Are there any thoughts about starting a new thread and perhaps interest a few other "appliquers"? We could name it "Applique Club Chapter 2".

I agree. There doesn't seem to be much interest in the applique club. But, do you think more would be interested if it's the same name? Maybe something like 'applique help' or 'applique sharing'. I'm new to the group so do what you think is appropriate.

I agree, too. I’m new to quilting and would also like to learn to appliqué.

Ask away, PollyT. I'd be happy to try and answer any questions you might have. I've been appliqueing for many years !

I'm interested. I purchased an embroidery machine earlier this year and would like to do some applique with it as well. I've embroidered a few things but would love to do more applique. Count me in. I think I've read all the previous posts.
