If you don't live in the area, there are other groups across the country who are putting on activities for the National Sew Day.

    QOVF National Sew Day

    February 1, 2020

Each year we get together to cut, sew, iron, fold, piece, quilt and bind Quilts of Valor. Our groups, friends and other volunteers work on the National Block Drive or on a project of their choosing. Last year over 4,000 members and volunteers took part in the day. Each location offered a different set of local door prizes; some had meals or snacks. If you would like to host a National Sew Day event or are looking for a location, please e-mail [email protected].

The Germantown group will be providing patterns, fabric, sewing machines and misc supplies. We chose the 2 step quilt from MSQC and the 2020 QOV block. We will have fabrics already cut out and ready to sew. We will have raffles throughout the day for freebies. Lunch will be provided.

We will also have demos throughout the day: fabric painting, wool applique and hand applique, quilted area rugs and others.
