You did a wonderful job on a difficult pattern! What a great heirloom. Congrats!

Thank you so much toverly - yes I enjoyed it very much ! I am now making a quilt from Susan Ache's book " Sampler Spree and using a fabric by Moda by Robin Pickens called Cottage Bleu - it is going together slowly - but surely. Here are some blocks from it !

Thank you so much - it took just under a year and I made it during covid lockdown.

Dotty led a group of us in a fun sew-along for this sampler a couple of years ago. It was my first sampler. I loved working on the blocks, but I slowed to a crawl on the sashing part and am still working on putting mine together. Well done, Dotty!
Thank you joe'smom - it was fun wasn't it ? I hope you get to finish the sashing and show your finished quilt in all it's glory !

Just as a little bit of encouragement, Linda. You do not need to make all of the blocks. I made a variation using fewer sampler blocks and in a different lay out repeating one of the blocks (48) to create an illusion of rows. It really is on-point. It is one of the examples in the book.

Thank you so much WMUTeach - I quite agree with your comments to Linda !

No, a friend quilted it for me on a long arm ! I dislocated my shoulder a while ago and couldn't have quilted it myself.
