I thought I had 10 fat 1/4's...but this photo shows that I've only aquired 9 so far of the 18 spruce/pine green fabrics that I need. I've dedicated the balance of this week to finding the rest.
It doesnt' look like much yet, but I'm happy with this eclectic selection. The one on the far right has come all the way from NZ and the three under it I purchased today. The hubby and boys gave me 5minutes to get in, look, purchase, and get out of a quilt shop (after nearly sending us all through the windscreen when I applied the brakes as I suddenly saw the shop - with many apologies to the cars behind me!)
I have the next 2 weeks annual leave and this week is planned to be a thrift shop crawl on Tuesday and a patchwork shop crawl on Wednesday. Thursday has yet to be inked in, by Friday is a call to see a friend who has offered to fill the fabric gaps if needed by then.
I've got to look for something a bit more dark blue/green, and find at least one brown for the tree trunks.
I'm going to have an adventure finding them all...
What do you think so far???

There are a few manufacturers who make brown fabrics that actually look like bark... so if you want to be quite literal in your interpretation of tree trunks, check out what South Sea Imports, Wilmington Prints, and Classic Cottons have to offer.

Love your greens! Especially the one with the dots. Reminds me of ornaments on your Christmas tree!

Your pine trees are great; this will be a beautiful quilt.

The 3rd & 4th from the left are sparkly fabrics too. I did pick up another fq yesterday - another photo when there is one or two more. Hunting blueish colours now..these ones are all dark - need a bit of variance.
    Hunting is half the fun!
