Wanted to post the name of the pattern, because everyone wants more information. Thank you for the comments.
The pattern is by Cathy Wierzbicki and it is from her book Geometric Gems. Very interesting and fun pattern.

Hi Lynda, sorry you didn't see my post, but I had posted all the information on the quilt pattern name, book name and the creator. Cathy is a real nice person and she has some great quilt ideas.
I heard back from Cathy Wierzbicki already! Here's what she had to say:
"Regarding Pineapple Nine-Patch, the pattern is available in the book "Geometric Gems." It is also available in a slightly simplified version called "Mock Pineapple". This is a stand-alone pattern available from my website or directly from me. Your local shop can order either for you if you prefer to get it that way.
Regardless of the pattern you choose, you can either make your own templates or use the Tri-Recs tools which is my preference."
