This is my moms receipe for cukes (Evaporated milk dressing) Slice your cukes and onions and soak them in salt water for a couple hours and drain Then cover with the following.!/2 cup sugar, 1/2 cup evaporated milk,1/3 cup vinegar, 1/2 tsp. salt.Mix sugar &vinegar untill sugr is dissolved. Stir well after you add the milk. It will thicken up some. Pour over cukes and onions. It keeps a long time in fridge. Onions are delious on burgers on the grill or just as they are.

My husband and I went out for dinner at a Thai restaurant and they served this delicious side dish with our appetizers. Here's a link. http://www.templeofthai.com/recipes/...mber_salad.php

It was just the right combination of sweet and salty, sour... I plan to make this one at home. Enjoy!

I slice them with onions. I add mayonaise, vinegar and a little sugar.

Mom used whipping cream with the vinegar. She sometimes used sour cream but did not use vinegar and it had a different taste to it.
