No storms so far, just rain. I sure have my dander up, due to a retuning squirrel that found the bird seed on our front porch. Anyone have any ideas of what I can do about this pesty squirrel let me know. Have a great day everyone.

Susan, put hot peppers, the red ones, seeds or full pods. the birds love it, the squirrels hate it.
it makes the feathers brighter too. you can also put it in a spray bottle with water. let it sit for a day or so and spray it around, the squirrels will keep away.
Me, i like the squirrels, they put on a stage show, live entertainment for Zoey. She loves watching them thru the screen.
they can't see her, she can see them.
It rained allnight sunny now at 4:20 p,m,
still working on my hexes.

I only use the suet blocks to feed my birds as I don't want the squirrels eating in the front yard as I'm trying to trap them. I got one today but as I was taking the trap down he kept going back and forth and I ended up dropping the trap and he got out. Now I thread the peanuts on a wire and put peanut butter and seeds and put it under the plate. The more time they spend in there the doors should spring closed. I was so mad. Do they climb up the bird feeder. I think I saw someone had put a plastic bottle on the bottom of the feeder.

I have 4 to 5 squirrels in our yard all the time, have a corn cob up each day for them and a big feeder for the birds further back in our yard, birds share it with the squirrels and have to feeders hanging up near the house, have them all in that.. Also have 3 hummingbird feeders, woodpeckers even eat out of them, funny, they take the yellow guards out of the one feeder... The other two are different... Can't keep them out I have tried so we just enjoy them...

Kele, lucky you to receive a package from Mary. She always sends the fancy wrapped candy and pretty cards. That donut pincushion looks good enough to eat. Great job Mary!
