I've been a lurker also. My typing is so slow & I spend so much time looking at the pictures that I don't have any time left to post. I've mostly just said "hi" to new members.
I too have learned so much here. Ya'll have made me feel so welcome. I'll post pictures as soon as I learn how. My daughter is coming to town for a few weeks so I thought I'd get her to show me.

Baloonatic: When I post, I click send and it shows up immediatly. It will show up for you then, and look at the bottom of the page in the right hand corner, you will see numbers from 1 to 10 etc. That last number is the number of the page that your post is on. Hope this helps.

O.K. it just hit me, Baloonatic, you're probably talking about posting a topic to begin with aren't you. The other ladies/gents will come on here and tell you how to do that. I hardly ever start a topic but I think I went to the homepage and clicked somewhere where it says if you want to post, I 'm sure you did that. Yeah! mine took a little while there too, I'm not sure either exactly where it went, but I started receiving messages from it. Sorry, I am no help probably.

You are right I lurk.I am not very good and am trying so hard to figure out how to even use the space in my spare room for sewing. I have a peice of plywood on the bed with my cutting board on top of it. It looks pitiful and is back breaking to work on.Then I am trying to figure out how to sort the material. So far cottons on one spot, satins in one spot, polyester in one spot etc. I think I need shelves because I can`t get rid of the bed. I inherited a lot of 4 1/2 in square polyester pieces so my first project is a lap quilt to donate to my local dialysis unit, they are always cold.Should I use muslin backing ? I don`t know.I made a table runner with the local home bureau but have to line things up so much more still. I am a rookie at 60 years old. It is not like following a dress pattern.
