All his sewing skills he learned from me, although I would never bother with pieces that small. I think 1" square would be my minimum.
He likes working on a treadle as it doesn't interfere with the TV.
Sorry for all these posts, but he wanted me to answer the questions people had.

Great job both of you. Funny thing, I was sitting and wondering if a treadle would be a good solution for sewing at our vacation property (there is no power source there at all). I wasn't sure of it would be possible (I don't know that much about them). Guess I just found out it is!
