it must be cause your so busy Lynnie because this was such an easy one for me. I came up with at least a dozen takes on the theme and already the couple peaks we have had are showing creativity and variety. Mine are out in the mail today IF dabbler sends me her mail to this morning otherwise tomorrow they go. I had so much fun making them. love the colors that the theme inspired me to use. ohhhh dear leader! any thoughts on going with a theme instead of whatever you want next month??? I love having a theme to play with.. this was a GREAT one

Here is a picture of the "treat" DQ I sent to Mary, (psychomomquilter) She said she was having issues posting pics so I did it for her. I know it isn't quite a fall theme but she wanted treat and these birds just looked so sweet I couldn't refuse....

MIA
Hello everyone. I have been missing in action from the DQ for several months. I decided that if I was to get my grandkids duvet covers done that I needed to work on them 24/7 . I finally got the two big ones done and my daughter was here from Australia doing a lecture series at Harvard and took them home with her. The kids love them on their doona's. (A comforter). I am so sorry to see that Krystyna is not going to be the hostess anymore but I know that when it is time to move on and let someone else take over the reigns that it is time. Krystyna you were so awesome and so wonderful in your comments. I really took them all to heart. I will probably start back up in January. I am looking at the UFO's here and I am drowning in them. LOL. I didn't want to commit to DQ if I was going to stress about getting them done. I love seeing all of the quilts so far. You all are indeed a wonderful talented group. I will keep lurking for the next few months.

love the bird doll quilt you have to smile when you see that one quiltingkrazy! I am sure your partner is smiling for sure. My partners have asked me to wait to mail.. sigh.. I am so not the patient sort. I try hard I do but patience is not my best feature. (what is my best feature?? yikes I may not want to know!). I don't get anxious to receive but I sure get anxious to mail.. earlier is better in my books. then I don't forget!!!

Cuppy requested that I should post the pictures of her DQ. When we were signing up for this swap, she mentioned that October was her birthday month. When I received her name I switched gears from doing the Christmas candle to a birthday cake, it was just a stroke of luck that it arrived on her birthday. I had a blast decorating the cake with crystals and seed pearls, and added a fq of fabric with candles.
