What classes have you booked? I have booked a machine quilting class, and a couple of the events that have several teachers and then then the barbeque Saturday night.

I'll be there, but I only live an hour away. FYI, be careful when you choose your classes. Some are awesome, but some are a total waste of money! If you want to sew, be sure that it is included in the class. Some classes are demo only or just seeing the method and cutting fabric. One year we spent $90 on a dyeing class that a kindergardner could have done.

I wanna go! I go to the Paducah show every year & this show is on my bucket list. I have cousins that live in Dallas, Hemphill & another town but can't remember the name of it...but they keep saying "c'mon down'. My only problem is travel is iffy in Nov. around here....

I've picked Hand pieced Mariners compass on Thursday PM with Cindy Blackberg, Debbie C's Mystery quilt all day Friday, and the saturday sampler. I'm taking my mom who is an aspiring quilter. She has a different set including the Friday Sampler and hand quilting on Thursday PM (don't remember her teachers). I kept her out of the "beginner's " classes because the supply list was pen and paper. I can teach her at home rotary basics etc. and was afraid that these were leaning toward mostly lecture.

Looking at the schedule was like a giant sundae. It all looked good, but some topics don't fit me or my quilting. It was hard to eliminate some, but hopefully I can go back in a few years and take a different set then.

I love the Houston show. I plan on going again this year. Jan is spot on with her suggestions...especially the valet parking. Try to make this one and mark it off your bucket list, you'll be glad ya did.
