    Some of the purchased, folded bias tapes/bindings were folded so that they could be applied with "one stitching"

    They were folded so that one side of the "center fold" covered a bit more than the other side did.

    I think these were more designed for binding things like necklines and armholes, though.

    After I've sewn the front down using a 1/4 inch foot, I sew the back using an edge joining/SITD foot and move my needle over a click or 2.

    Well this is all very interesting. I am going to a sew night next week in my LQS so I will bring my next binding up there for their opinions. Thank you all for your replies

    I put double fold bias binding on with my 1/4 inch foot, I have a Janome (don't Know if that matters) There is a small hole on the left of the foot and I just move the needle until it will go though the hole and put the outer edge next to the foot and it fits perfectly.
