That looks so nice!! I had a bunch of upholstery fabric at one time too. I was the receptionist at an upscale furniture store . They let me have the discontinued samples. I gave many away but I kept some for some "future" use.

These were big samples - maybe 25x30? I just cut off the labels. On some of the fabrics I was able to use DK5 (from the makers of 505) to remove the labels, but it isn't meant for fabrics (says so on the label) and it can leave a strong smell, so I don't really recommend it. I have some more samples that are smaller, but all of them are big enough for a good sized quilt patch.

I've often wondered, as I've seen other " upholstery fabric" quilts... how to you clean them? spot clean or sent to cleaners?
Good question about the cleaning. The fact is, I don't know. These fabrics were a mix of poly, rayon, cotton. By the time they're quilted, I don't think shrinkage will be an issue, but I don't know whether it can be washed or not. Fortunately the colors are dark!

I have used a lot of the cotton type upholstery fabric (like Waverly) for totes and sofa pillows. I prewash them for any shrinkage but I don't think there has ever been much. It's really nice having washable pillows.

My mom had made one about 45 years ago and my brother still has it and still uses it. Yours is beautiful and will last forever!
