    This turned out beautiful. Becoming a quilter early in life, unlike me, must be so rewarding. I would have loved to learn how to hand piece, use templates and quilt on an old fashioned frame. Arthritis has put the kibosh on that pipe dream. What to did deserves appreciation. Kudos to you for completing this beauty.

    i think its lovely! its nice to challenge ourselves to think outside the box, stop taking shortcuts, remember how they 'used' to be done. congratulations on a beautiful job and it is such a reward when a labor of love like this comes to a close

    3013 pieces and you didn't strip piece it? You might not be old, but that'll get you there fast! Give yourself a break and send it out to a longarmer to be quilted! You deserve it!

    I think it is wonderful that you picked and made an old time favorite. I love to hand piece. You did a great job!
