    You could follow the shape of the petals quilting just inside the edge then again inside that stitching line, and maybe one more time. time. Then echo quilt following outside of the petals for a few rows in the flower blocks. I did something similar on one of my first projects and following a shape is easier than stitching in the ditch. Your quilt is beautiful! Bet your SIL is proud of you!

    Sorry I can't be any help with quilting - I'm still learning that myself.

    Your quilt is gorgeous! You should be very proud of yourself. I agree with others, stitch in the ditch and echo the flowers and stuff.
