I love all but one of Sandra Dallas's books. For a first book of hers, I do not recomment Buster Midnights Cafe. I think if you read that first, you may be turned off. Read it after you get to love her books.

the one I did not like was True sisters. Only my opinion, you may like the misery of crossing the prarie with handcarts.

I loved books like Diary of Mattie Spencer and Alice's Tulips. Chili Queen is a bit different, but a hoot.
