What to charge?

I think the prices that thequilteddove posted are pretty fair - I happen to love this last part and enjoy doing it while watching television so I might offer to do it for less, but my time is definitely worth money and I think quilters usually don't charge enough for their services or end products. I am going to save this so if someone asks me to do this for them, I will have an idea of what to charge.

Don't shortchange yourself or your skills. Obviously the "friend of a friend" has a pretty good idea of what's involved in binding and doesn't want to undertake the project. So ask whatever price you want. If you get it fine, if you don't fine. Don't try to please someone you don't even know by giving her a discount rate.
