I put up those command hanging hooks, and put buttonholes at top of quilt hanging base. That seems to work ok, but was wondering about other ways. The heavy duty magnets just we're not getting it.

I make three different sizes of wall hangings. The two smaller sizes get triangles sewn into the top corners and are hung from either a pencil or a dowel rod depending on size. The larger ones get hanging sleeves sewn on when I sew the binding on and they get hung from small curtain rods hung on Command Hooks.

Oh. My idea will not work . I thought you had done small size which fit on a metal stand.
Door size I use those over the door coat hooks. Look carefully before buying at the hooks to put quilt on . I put a rod from corner to corner in a triangle and hook rod over hooks. I originally used cane or wood rods I have since started using cafe adjustable curtain rods as they are adjustable and you don't end up with a bundle of sticks from different widths.
