I'm using a lot a grey because it goes with everything. Last month I went into my LQS and bought 3 full bolts of light and medium grey (hope no one else wanted those colours that week because that was all the shop had).

Two 40% discount vouchers on purchases on what was left on bolts was an added incentive. The bolts were untouched so they were real bargains.

I was just looking at the Hancocks of Paducah catalog and there's a nice line of fabric that goes with gray and yellow. It's High Street for Moda, by Lily Ashford.

Skratchie, that's a beautiful combination -- and a really pretty block!

I love the yellow and grey combination and have at least one fabric with it. But I wonder, in 20 years will someone look at a yellow/grey quilt and say, oh, that one's from 2014? (I wouldn't care if that happened, just wondering...)

Every decade has trends. You can't avoid it. Enjoy today.

I like the Spring Terrace by Jenni Calo, I'd love to do a quilt for my room out of it! Wish I had more shopping store closer to me.

Michael Miller also has some nice grey & yellow fabrics - they lean toward contemporary in style.
