I love it!

Question...Did you prewash the quilt top because of the minky backing?

Kitty, I did prewash the top fabrics. I did not prewash the batting. But it only had a 3% shrinkage according to the package.

Talk about perfect timing, I am making a quilt for my son and it is red, white and black. I started out making the notting hill quilt but decided I didn't like it so will change it to the modern rail fence. Who would have thought that such a simple quilt could be turned into this? I hope my son gets the same smile on his face when he sees his. Thank you so much for sharing your awesomely inspiring quilt.

That is one cool quilt! I am going to look up the pattern. And the quilting is perfect for the design. Very unique quilt.

Your quilt is wonderful, such a simple quilt with a new twist that brings a totally different look. It really has inspired me. I have searched for the pattern, basically for the layout and amount of fabric. Would you share where I may find the pattern, or the layout..........Thanks.

Sel (I think that's her name) from mad quilters disease did not put a pattern up for her quilt. She just posted pictures of it. So what I did was count how many of each block there was and made them. Ie I counted how many blocks I would need in different color combinations: ie blocks made three strips of brown, blocks made with all white, white brown white, and white tan white. Ect. After a made them, I just laid them out like her quilt.
