I'm not a Kaffe fan but you did wonders with your scraps, it wouldn't look as good with anything else!

Love the look. I used to do the same, but in my day it was called liquid polymer instead of Modge Podge and it was mostly done with papers. I've got a good mind to do that with the coffin top of my treadle machine. I know that's blasphemous but I won't be refinishing it and it's got some damaged corners, peeling veneer, etc. I have plans to re-veneer the top of the treadle table. It's been sitting there about 15 years and nuttin' doin' yet except that I've peeled away the splintered remains of the old veneer. BTW, you really did a professional-looking job on that case. Really well done!

I did that once on an old suitcase but used pretty wrapping papers. That was before quilting. I'd definitely do fabric now. I love that!
